Anita Bachmann is the CEO of the North Carolina Market for UnitedHealthcare’s Community & State. UnitedHealthcare is a division of UnitedHealth Group (NYSE: UNH) which is a diversified health and well-being company with a mission to help people live healthier lives and help make the health system work better for everyone.

With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Anita is an accomplished Executive with extensive, progressive experience in healthcare administration, business operations, healthcare delivery systems, business development, technology, clinical strategy and regulatory/legislative affairs.

In recognition of her efforts, Anita was named an Outstanding Woman in Business by Triad Business Journal (2017), Athena Leadership award winner (2018), Triad Business Journal C-Suite honoree (2020) and is among the Triad’s Power Players (2018 & 2021). Anita serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. In addition, she serves on the Board of Trustees for UNC-Greensboro and received an appointment from Governor Cooper as a board member to the NC Institute of Medicine and the NC Works Commission.

Anita earned a Master of Health Science (MHS), Health Services Administration from Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and graduated from the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in Philadelphia.
